Parents Can Limit Access to TikTok for 18-Year-Old Teens – TikTok announced a new feature to enhance screen time with more options and a few tweaks.

In a forthcoming TikTok feature, users under the age of 18 will automatically be set to a daily screen time limit of 60 minutes.

If the 60 minute limit is reached, teens will be asked to enter a passcode to continue watching.

Meanwhile, for users under the age of 13, the daily screen time limit will also be set to 60 minutes, and a parent or guardian will have to set or enter their existing passcode to enable the additional 30 minutes of screen time.

Regarding these rules, TikTok consulted academic research and experts from the Digital Wellness Lab at Children’s Hospital Boston in choosing these limits.

This TikTok feature needs to be known by parents to supervise children who spend their daily time on the TikTok application.

To access this feature, you can open the Settings menu in the TikTok application.
