This update is only available in the latest version of WhatsApp Beta for Android and iOS, users can record voice via voice notes and share it on WhatsApp status which can be seen by your contacts.
Here’s how to make Voice Notes on WhatsApp
- Open the WhatsApp application
- Open the Status menu
- Click the ‘Pencil’ menu at the bottom right
- Tap on the ‘microphone’ icon

- Tap on the ‘Arrow’ icon to send Voice Notes on WhatsApp Status
Voice notes shared to WhatsApp statuses are only 30 seconds long, and users also have the option to pass Voice notes from chats to statuses.
If you don’t have the Beta version of WhatsApp, you can wait until this feature is released to general users.
